Aerobatic Aircraft & Performers

The Ontario Air Faire again has an exciting, high energy, line-up of aerobatic acts with some of the best aerobatic pilots in the nation.  This year's line-up is a mix of our own and past crowd favorites along with new unique and rare aircraft.  Several that will be flying, along with Merle Maine's Warbird collection, are real national historic treasures.

Click on the links below for more detailed information on each performer.

Bob Finer
Bob Finer will be flying both his Pitts S-1T and Van's RV-4.  Last year Bob truly achieved his goal of desiring to present "the full flight envelope of each aircraft to engage the public while passionately sharing the joy of uninhibited flight”.  From the start of his routine, to it's peak altitude, to his engine-out, dead stick landing demonstration -- He'll again show you why he's an Air Faire favorite.

John Bagley
Last year was John Bagley's first appearance at the Air Faire and how fortunate we are that he is back!  John will be flying "Bob Hoover's original   P-51 Mustang,  Ole Yeller".  You'll not only get to see John's graceful performance, you'll feel it! as Ole Yeller's mighty Merlin engine roar reverberates over the valley.  The sound and feel of it's 12-cylinder in-line engine will leave little doubt why it still holds the prop plane Speed Record for Los Angeles, California to Daytona Beach, Florida.

Scotty Crandlemire
When Scotty hasn't been piloting International Formula One or Unlimited Class aircraft in The Reno Air Races or instructing intro to aerobatics classes, he has been at the Ontario Air Faire for the last two years.  Scotty is not only a local area pilot and businessman, he's also another one of our returning favorites.  He'll show you why when he performs the "Known Sportsman" sequence in his aerobatic act.

Shawn Bagley
Shawn Bagley will be flying a rare, one of only 3 remaining airworthy P-63, King Cobras.  If his name sounds familiar, it's because Shawn is John Bagley's son and his aircraft is another WWII icon with an Allison, 1800 HP, V-12 engine roar that will also help you to image the era of these aircraft that made and continue to make history.

Todd Therp
Todd will be flying a different type of unique and rare aircraft.  A purely-aerobatic aircraft, the Interavia, E-3.  This Russian built aircraft is one of only 11 in the US and 23 known produced.   Being stressed for +12/-10 G limits and having a blistering roll rate of 345 degrees per SECOND ensures that you will be in for an impressive aerobatic show.
