Last year's Air Faire featured one of the largest private military aircraft collections in
the United States, owned by Ontario resident and FBO owner Merle Maine.
Maine's collection includes an A-4 in Blue Angels's colors, an F-104, a Russian MIG17, MIG19 and MIG 23,
and a host of other military aircraft.
There were also many visiting military aircraft as guests of Mr. Maine.
The Idaho Air National Guard was also represented. Last year's Air Faire also featured low level flyby's by
some of these aircraft as well as others.

Many sport planes were present at the Air Faire with several flying in from quite a distance.
Some of the aircraft were built and are flown by members of the local Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter, 837.
They get to show off the result of those many years of hard work that went into constructing their flying machines.

Even the popular classic cars seemed to be right at home with the airplanes from the powered parachute
up to the military planes. Again, much hard work goes into the restoration and maintenance of these amazing machines. The owners
appreciated the praise.

Don't let us forget the outstanding live entertainment provided by many local bands and singing groups.
These performances were much enjoyed by patrons while dining on the scrumptious meals prepared and served
by many generous volunteers.
Where else can you have this much fun for FREE. We do appreciate the generous donations
from many patrons. This helps us keep this great event free to the public and allow us to expand the activities.
